I’ll be reading Claude at his home, the Cal Academy, this Wednesday night, at a really fun event called Science Under the Stars!
This award, given by the Washington Library Association, chooses ten nonfiction picture books every year. Students across the state spend the year reading and studying them. They vote at the end of the year–and they chose my book! I am so incredibly honored, especially because all the other nominees were so fantastic, and winners in their own right for sure.
On April 30 I am doing a storytime with fun activities for kids (coloring! scavenger hunt!). It’s free (though non-SF residents will have to pay admission to the gardens). RSVP if you can! The event is co-sponsored by Green Apple Books on the Park, to kick off their year-long collaboration with the Botanical Gardens–Books on the Garden.
Thank you to Betsy Bird for hosting me on Fuse 8!
