CLAUDE is the winner of the Louisiana Young Readers’ Choice Award!
Kids across Louisiana chose Claude: The True Story of a White Alligator as their favorite book of the year! In a way, it makes sense–Claude was born there! More info here. This is such an honor! I will be traveling to Baton Rouge to attend the Louisiana Book Festival.

I’ll be reading Claude at his home, the Cal Academy, this Wednesday night, at a really fun event called Science Under the Stars!
The Pig War is the winner of the 2022 Towner Award!
This award, given by the Washington Library Association, chooses ten nonfiction picture books every year. Students across the state spend the year reading and studying them.
